LUDWIG BECK
NEIGE DE NOEL (Winterglitzer) – Department Store Retail Concept
Nora Gres created a stunning christmas season retail concept for Munich’s premium department store Ludwig Beck. Her charming and detail-driven textile visuals graced every corner of the store – from large scale shop windows to multiple interior decoration visuals and promotional items like shopping bags, catalogs or gift cards. Even a special edition product line sported her lovely, glamourous winter sports theme visuals.

Walking through a winter wonderland
All window displays were decorated with hand-sewn snow-covered hills in various color shades and swirling ice crystals.
“I created a MODULAR SYSTEM whose individual elements became recombined for all the various areas.”
Two-dimensional handsewn decoration items
In the store you could find 2-dimensional hand-sewn items like a hiking map, textile Ice skates, moving gondolas and swirling snowflakes. Fifty limited editions of exclusive products for LUDWIG BECK were marked by an exclusive hangtag.
“During the advent season NEIGE DE NOËLLE window shopping told a glittering fairy tale.”
Dreaming of a white Christmas
Noëlle, the female character of NEIGE DE NOËLLE, leads through all parts of this Christmas Story.
„You will encounter the extraordinary collages of Munich-based artist Nora Gres not only in the Christmas room, but wherever your path takes you through the “Kaufhaus der Sinne” department store: moving gondolas and swirling snowflakes adorn the windows, textile iceskates, hiking maps, and unusual collages are featured inside, and an exclusive collection of handmade, one-of-a-kind cards, gift tags and bags is found in the Christmas market on the fifth floor.“
